November 1936 zum Thema Nummerierung erfahren wir, wie es kam, dass der Kanton St. Gallen zwei Jahre mit der Nummerierung aussetzt, nachdem er diese 1934 auf der R\u00fcckseite eingef\u00fchrt hatte.<\/p>\n<p>Im Jahr 1934 war St. Gallen einer jener acht Kantone, welche ihre Fahrradkennzeichen auf der R\u00fcck\u00adseite nummeriert haben. Nur der Kanton Gen\u00e8ve nummeriert in diesem Jahr bereits auf der Front. Alle anderen verzichten auf eine Nummer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.velonummern.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Verbot-Nummerierung-Fahrradkennzeichen-1933-1959.pdf\">[DOKUMENT]<\/a>. Gegen diese Nichtbeachtung von Artikel 32 des Bundesgesetzes zum Strassenverkehr (Inkraftsetzung 1.1.1933) erheben die Verb\u00e4nde aus St. Gallen Beschwerde. Diese erreicht das Eidgen\u00f6ssische Justiz- und Polizeidepartement EJPD, welches den Kanton St. Gallen umgehend aufgefordert, diese Nummerierung zu unterlassen. Daraufhin wird die Nummerierung der Kennzeichen w\u00e4hrend der Jahre 1935 und 1936 vollst\u00e4ndig eingestellt.<\/p>\n<p>Danach steigt die Zahl der \u00abherrenlosen\u00bb d.h. der aufgefundenen und nicht mehr den Besitzern zuweisbaren Velos an. Diese Entwicklung muss offenbar derart unerfreulich sein, dass sich die Radfahrer-Verb\u00e4nde mit dem Kanton nun, trotz dem seinerzeitigen Protest, darauf verst\u00e4ndigen, die Nummerierung auf der R\u00fcckseite ab dem Jahr 1937 wieder hinzuf\u00fchren. Dies ohne, dass sich das Gesetz oder die Haltung des EJPD zur Nummerierung in irgendeiner Weise ge\u00e4ndert h\u00e4tte.
