Am 1. Januar 1979 trat der Kanton Jura als 26. Kanton der Schweiz bei. 1980 gab der neue Kanton das erste Fahrradkennzeichen aus. Bereits 1987, ein Jahr früher als alle anderen Kantone, wurde das letzte auf Aluminium Fahrradkennzeichen des Kanton Jura geprägt. Damit war er wiederum der erste Kanton, der bereits 1988, ein Jahr vor allen anderen Kantonen, auf die selbstklebende Velovignette umstellte.

Presentation Box
This bicycle license plate will be supplied in a specially designed, three-part presentation box in the size of a DVD box.
Authenticity Certificate
Every bicycle license plate is an original. The customer receives a signed authenticity certificate for every plate. With this certificate, the vendor confirms that the goods delivered are bicycle license plates manufactured on behalf of the relevant Swiss authority and issued for the year indicated on the plate. The serial number of the plate is recorded on each certificate.
Quality
For plates from 1956 to 1988, a sample image is shown in the shop. This means that the customer will receive a comparable plate from the same edition (year/initials). The supplier does not sell plates with missing parts or non-original drill holes. However, scratches, slight discoloration, and traces of mounting are common.
